Hello,
I am applying for my wife and need some help in answering a question on Sponsor Questionnaire.

I am filling in the application form IMM 5540 where it asks: "Have you resided in countries other than Canada?" In my case, I lived in Saudi Arabia while I finished high school and would go back to Bangladesh every summer for a few months. How would it be best I enter this?

Would it be advisable to enter dates like: "2000-01 till 2005-09 Saudi Arabia" and "2000-01 till 2005-009 Bangladesh" - Both overlapping?
Or to break it down where I lived 10 months in Saudi and 2 months in Bangladesh? The second way would make my application a lot lengthier since now I am breaking down my travel. Also, do I enter this since birth? Or since my 18th birthday? Or last 5 years?

Any help is highly appreciated!!

Residing means you lived for more than 6 months, so the summers in Bangladesh wouldn't really be necessary. You could do that however but put brackets in the Bangladesh field "(summers only)". I believe for this question they want every country you've lived in from birth, for more than 6 months.

if you lived in same place for years in saudi arabia and visited home every summer.
I would write jan, 2001- sept. 2009.

I visited home for months during summer break but did not put those time on that form.

Thanks for the input! I think I will proceed to enter as floomy & Aquakitty mentioned. I will also put in a short note about me returning back home for summers.
