i applied 3 weeks ago ..

Hi, i applied for the tourist visa 3 weeks ago and i sent all my documents to Buffalo visa office and i havent received an answer nor an email that shows that they start to process my application. Do i have to send the original documents that prove my legal status here or a copy will do the work? please help me.

I applied from South Africa today and they said I should have an answer in no less than 7 working days? wonder what will come of that...
