Agree with what’s been said before, but this is all irrelevant provided your husband returns to Canada before the 3 year anniversary of his landing and then stays in the country for a minimum of 2 years.

You say he even wants to return by April 2020, so that is plenty of time to meet RO and also leaves room for some future trips outside the country.

She wanted to know why their time together wouldn’t count. Just explaining. In case things aren’t wrapped up by April and he stays much longer then OP won’t go stay with him thinking that will add to his RO.
