The best solution is to open an account with Banque Saudi Fransi in Saudi Arabia. The account can be in SAR or USD. You can then transfer online directly into the TD Canada Trust Account. This is the best way without much waiting period or bank charges. Other local banks will not be able to help.

Just go ahead and try....lol
good info, what is the approx. exchange rate that it offers if one wants transfer from Saudi riyals to CAD. NCB online transfer is fluctuating between 3.61 to 3.55 since last one month. Thanks

Dear fellows,

I want to move some cash from Saudi to my account in Canada. I have TD Canada Trust account, but when i went to western union with swift code and other details,...they couldn't trace my bank and said that this bank was not in their list. Al rajhi Taweel says that it will go via UK, will take a lot of time, and I have to bear transfer fees at three places, here in Saudi SAR 85, some unknown amount in UK and C$ 17.5 in Canada. And even after paying this much, there is no guarantee that money will reach my account, it may come back sometimes. Anyone who has wired money from Riyadh to Canada, pls share your experience. urgent

Thanks
Just transferred some through Bank Al Jazira to TD Bank. It took about 7 days and the total charges were CAD45

Hello Gentlemen,

I have an account in RBC in Toronto, I just made a wire transfer through SABB from Riyadh into my RBC account.

All they asked was some details like purpose of funds transfer, name and D.O.B...I received the amount in 1 week with no issues.

The money goes to HSBC Toronto first then to RBC...so same should happen with TD check with SABB.

Hope this helps. :)

dear Shahbaz, to do that, you have to be an account holder of SAAB, isn't it !

Well am not sure you would need to have an account, even if they want open one with them it will solve your problem for future transactions as well.

There's UAEXchange branches all over Canada. Look at their website, they have branches in KSA pretty sure.
Never send huge amounts Western Union it will be a nightmare to pickup. I don't think you can send over a certain amount anyways.
Also google VBCE (Vancouver Buillion & Currency Exchange) they can receive bank wire in KSA and pay you out here in CAD.

bro have you done business with VBCE, are they reliable and what exchange rate do they offer, ..riyal vs CAD , and do they have any service available in Mississauga !
I have recently done some transfer through my bank online and it gave me 1 CAD = 3.56 SR, do yo think it is a good rate, and it took just four days for money to reach my account in Canada. I think I should only go for other options if I get a much better exchange rate than what i am getting through my bank now. My research says the rate I am getting is quite reasonable. Anybody from Saudi , pls comment

My honest suggestion is to open an account in SABB and make wire transfer...the bank gives u decent rate + secure and doent take a lot of time.

That is how i do from KSA.

CIAO!

dear Shahbaz, don't you think the rate I am getting is decent ! 1CAD = 3.56 or 3.57, it's not the rate at the source but what it finally costs me after money reaches my Canadian account, cheers

Hey guys , has any one here immigrated from the gulf. Need some advise on how to transfer money from saudi to canada before landing there.

Once i leave saudi my visa expires which means my bank accounts close immediately. I thought about travellers cheques but saudi doesnt have that option any more.

I also dont want to do bankers cheques since they take 15 days to clear and should there be any issues, there is no one i can count on for support.

Any help will be much appreciated.. Thanks
