Hi,
I have received my PR stamps. We are flying in on 15th June. I just heard from a relative who is already there that we donot have to be physically present to receive the PR card. Is that true? Basically my question is that how long do the PR cards take to come?, Do I have to be there to sign a post which contains the PR card. Can I address it to my uncles place. Also, Can I leave the country a month after reaching there and if yes then would my PR card still arrive?
Please let me know, my tickets to return depend on this.

You can do this and many people have but be aware that if the immigration officer asks you if you will be at your uncles house when the PR card arrives, if you say no, they may decide to withhold your card until you are in Canada to stay. The cards usually take around 6 weeks to arrive.
