How long did it take for you to receive your PR card? New permanent residents

Hi. I became a newly accepted permanent resident just a few days ago. I know the PR cards are automatically sent out to us, within a 30 day period I believe? I'm just wondering if anybody has gone through the same process and how long it took before you received the PR card in the mail? Was it less than or more than 30 days? It's urgent I have that card soon because I have to leave the country as soon as possible. And yes, I know it's possible to leave the country without a PR card but I need my PR card to apply for a foreign visa. Thanks,

Thanks for the reply. I have a question, what does "landing" mean? I see that word often, does that signify the date in which one became a permanent resident?

I'm sorry, but what's the difference between issuing a card and receiving it in the mail?

Also, if anybody knows if it's possible to receive the card sooner than that, please let me know. I need it urgently.

issuing - when they have it done, i.e printed.

receiving by mail - it is when they sent it by post to Canadian address and it takes time to receive it by mail.

Where do you find the issue date on the PR card? I have looked, but I can't find it.

Oh of course, thanks!

Do you guys know what the time they take to issue it and send it out depends on? I'm afraid that because mine was a family of 6 it will take longer..I'm just really desperate to have it as soon as possible.

31 Days, doesn't matter how big the family is, they come separately.

My post is just out of curiosity...

Does the PR card issuing take shorter or longer due to any particular condition/situation of the applicant? Like let's say, having your mailing address in a small town vs. a big city, having a Canadian spouse, etc., or is it just a matter of luck?

Dear Friend

I am a nurse from India, trying to migrate to Canada. First I am in the process of getting eligibility from one of the colleges in Canada. Now can I try for PR (now I am in India). Can I try for PR my family members?, how long this process takes place. What is the validity of the PR. Is it applicable for all regions in Canada. Kindly advice.
