I'm a woman originally from the states living with my boyfriend in Ontario, and we have recently submitted our application for conjugal sponsorship. I came here in June and due to life and personal issues we were not able to submit an application until now.
Well, my visit is supposed to end in December and we have not yet gone through the first stage of evaluation. I'd like to stay with my partner while we wait for sponsorship to go through.
I was just wondering if I extend my visitation will it go through for me? The immigration officer at the border said that once the application was submitted and being evaluated we have a good chance of applying for an extension and it working in our favour. Is this true and I have nothing to worry about?
