Would like to share my experience:
1. Sent spouse to Canada on a student Visa. 1 year post grad diploma.
2. After completing her diploma she came to Saskatoon on an open work permit - 1 year
3. Worked for 6 months and filed for her and my SINP. (At that time it was 6 months)
4. Got SINP after 2 months.
5. Applied for and got closed work permit for 2 years with her employer.
6. Applied for PR for her and me.
7. Underwent Medicals. She in Canada and me in India.
8. I applied for my Open Work Permit basis a) our SINP b) her new 2 years work permit c) the fact that PR has been applied and medicals done too
9. Got my open work permit and came to Canada 6 months ago.
10. PR decision made and got my PR 2 months ago.
- Be 100% honest with CIC
- Be 100% accurate with your documentation
- Read and re read the CIC site as much as you can
- Be patient and never lose hope.
