Folks,
I called CIC and came to know that my HK PCC was delivered to Ottawa on 27th October. I think it was delivered pretty quickly. It was sent out by HK police force on 16th October.

I just emailed CIC yesterday for checking since mine was sent on Oct 13 by HK Police. Barring any major international mail loss catastrophy I can assume mine was also received by CIC

Actually I even called Canada post. They confirmed that the post was delivered. So I already knew that it was delivered, but needed a confirmation from CIC. CIC didn't reply to my mail, I sent it 1.5 week back. So I ended up calling CIC, and the agent confirmed that they have received it. I would suggest you give them a ring. All the best!

Hi guys,
I just got a request from CIC to get a certificate of no criminal conviction from the Hong Kong police but there are two things that I am not quite sure.

First, the HK police wants the name and rank of the person taking the fingerprints, but in my area (Kitchener, Ontario), it seems like we only get fingerprints done in accredited private clinic, where the person taking my fingerprints would not have a rank in the police system.

Second, they require a bankdraft payable in HongKong. Is there any way I can make one in Canada that is payable in HongKong.

When you upload your HK police check's receipt, did you get a reference number or anything else that has your name on the receipt? My receipt doesn't have my name or ID on it. I'm wondering whether it's okay

Correct, it doesn't have your name on it and that's all you got. It's gonna be fine if you upload that.

Hi all, just an update, I got my request for PCC from CIC last Wednesday with the address and today we went to the police station. I'm very glad it was a quick process (15mins inc wait) and the lady at the window was very nice.

I got a receipt and they said if we didn't have any criminal records, CIC should receive it in 6-7 weeks.

May I ask, did you guys create a case specific enquiry (CSE) to upload your receipt? Or is there a part in the CIC account to upload it?

Once you log into your account, go to view your application, then click to view submitted documents section - you will see a placeholder for additional required documents. That's where the receipts should be updated. In my own case I also included an LOE explaining the estimated arrival time of the HK PCC.

It should take two to three weeks according to my phone call with them. I suggest you give them a call to confirm whether your application is accepted.
