Dear Peers.

I got my 2AOR in JUNE and CHC london gave me a new file # and said all corrospondences will be as per new file# but when i put the new file number to check status it says worng file number but when i put my old file# it says

"ermanent Residence
We received your application for permanent residence on May 19, 2010.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on October 18, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Your application and supporting documents were received by the London England office. They are pending review."


That means processing has still not started ???????? but i got my 2AOR date 16.06.2011.

please suggest..

Your in Process now,we have almost same boat. Received 2nd AOR June 18, 2010 from that on in process up to present so i think your in process now. Hoping for everybody MR to be receive soon.

Dear Peers,

I am maintain settlement funds here in Oman bank. Does the CIC calls the bank to inquire the status of Funds...My settlements funds have not been stable for couple of months since i got my 2nd AOR i am trying my best to keep the funds intact...

I used a agent in Dubai to file our application...how much time do I need to wait for my MEDICALS... I have applied for a work permit / LMO as a nursing assistant Nurse Aides, Nursing Assistant, Orderlies and Patient Service Associates (NOC 3413-C)in canada...will this have an effect on my P.R (RN 3152)

Can anyone advice please....

one month is not a big time for chc, hope you will get soon

I think it takes approx 3 Months or so to get any response after Medicals. Hope it get resolved soon.

can any tell me how to apply canada study permit visa as i am working in oman but i am pakistani national, as there is no canadian embassy in oman, as i check from website , for many GCC countries including omani residents also have to apply from Abudabhi, but i want to know what is procedure for those who are not omani national and working in oman .

I am from Muscat Oman, since the FSWP will only be ready on 2013 I still have plenty of time to complete my documents. However, what bothers me is my IELTS exam where in I only received band 6 as total and as per the new changes I believe I will not be able to qualify.

Hello all,

I am from Muscat and I got my first file number on 29 June 2010 (date mentioned in CIC letter) and received another letter from CIC dated 20 March 2012 confirming my eligibility for further processing. I have applied under Skilled Worker Program. The letter says I should hear from CIC within next 6 to 12 months. My concern is, since CIC has stopped receiving new applications and started working on backlogs; has anyone with a similar timeline started getting requests for their Medical? I would be grateful if you can share your experience. Thank you.

The website application status(ECASE) has never showed my status update in spite of entering the correct data. I am using a representative to file my application (Vision). Do you think I should report this to CIC? Since I have received a file number as well as 6 to 12 month wait letter from them citing I am eligible, does it really matter if my status update is displayed in CIC website??? Thanks.
