Help: Renewing of sin

Hello,

Can someone please guide me if I can renew my sin while I am outside of Canada? My work permit application was under process when I had to travel outside of Canada to visit my mother.
Now my question is that can i renew my sin through mail? (Got my work permit in canada)
Can my husband apply for my sin on my behalf?

You'll have to do it in person. It doesn't take long to renew SIN. Just walk into any service Canada and ask if you can renew your SIN and they ask you some questions and print your SIN with new expiry date. Its take just like 15 mins top.
