Hi all
I wonder whether including dependant children in my application for cec will cause further delay to the processing??????? or should i apply on my own and later apply to sponsor dependants. i don't want any delay because i have only 13months left on my pgwp by the time of my application and dont think i can get LMO. pls suggest

Hi,

It all depends on how long they take to check your background. I applied for my spouse along with my application and we got the PR in 8 months. When I was applying there was a form for Non-Accompanying dependents. I think the dependents have to do medicals if you decide to sponsor them later. Else, you have to declare that your dependents will apply based on their qualification. Please check that in document checklist. It is better to ask the CIC agents to avoid any delay in processing.

Hope this helps. Good Luck!

hi. first, you can put your dependant children as non-accompanying family members. they still have to undergo medical exam and everything. you know, for me it doesn't matter if you put your family members as accompanying or not. the immigration will still examine all of your family members anyway. the problem here, if your family members didn't go for any exams that the immigration requested, you won't be able to sponsor them in the future.
