Hey everyone if someone could answer my question that would be great.
Me and my girlfriend have decided to take a break for a bit.
We have already applied for Sponsorship and I have already received my Open Work Permit which is valid for another 2yrs.
She doesn't want to withdraw the application in the spur of the moment as we are only taking a "break" and haven't technically broken up as she and myself think we can continue after some time apart.
She is worried that if the worse comes to worse and we break up after the break and she withdraws the application that I will have my open work permit cancelled and that I will be sent home. She has already spoken to a IRCC call center agent who told her that I wouldn't be sent home.
Now if the relationship ends we have no choice but to withdraw the application with whatever consequences that may have. We just want to know if my OWP may be cancelled. Thanks in advance.
