having closed Work permit and losing job prior to expire my Work permit

Hello.
I have my closed work permit till April,2020. However, my current employer has stopped giving me my salary since April,2019 to till date. He has closed his office and stopped paying me from April,2019. In the last two months,he said he is going to the US and will provide me my paycheque and put my extension for next one year in company after returning. whenever I am calling him,not picking calls,making me false promises to provide me paycheques soon. and main concern is; my work permit is going to expire in 3 month. I don't want to go back,as I was suppose to apply for my PNP after completing my 2 years in Canada. what can I do now? what are my options now. thanks for great help in advance.​

You can stay legally until your permit expires. You need to find another employer willing to get a LMIA for you in order to get a new work permit, its probably a little late at this point.

Unfortunately I have a feeling you will never see any payment. Why did you keep working if you haven’t been paid in so long?
