The Police check can not be older than 3 months when it is submitted and is only valid for 1 yr. The wait time for applications is 15 months however I see some getting visas or interviews before that. I would wait for the medical as it is only good for 1 yr as well although some have been given extentions. The medical appt is usually quick to get and if in Havana the Police check is taking 14 days otherwise if outside the city it could take up to 6-8 wks.

Ahhh the police check can't be older than 3 months when submitted?? Nooooooo!! Have almost everything sorted to send in the application this week. It is so difficult timing everything right! Galano do you know a link that shows the time line of each paper? I couldn't find this info on the application. Has anyone else applied with a police check that was done 4 months (or longer?) instaed of 3?

I did however I explained that I would be sending a new updated one as soon as I got it. It held up the process though and it is a possibility that they could send the application back to you considering the fact that it is not complete. That depends on the agent of course. Make sure your pages in the application are up to date as the web pages are sometimes updated. Remember the Police check must be translated to English and notorized.

We have received a letter from the Appeal board in Montreal stating that we have been granted an ADR. They have not given a date however said it will most likely be Oct or Nov 2016 via teleconference so I will not have to travel to Montreal.

Do you have any notion as to how long the process/decision might take after the proceedings are done? In any eventuality, I hope you get a swift and favorable decision, lord knows you've been through a lot..

On a side note, I filed a visitor's visa request for my mother-in-law when my wife and I were in Havana on vacation earlier this month, and it got approved yesterday, the whole thing took 2 weeks.. seems like the change in parliament really is cutting down on the processing times, hope it works in your favour too..

What do you mean exactly? I just checked my ecas account and it is the same information since January 6th. You may be able to see an update only because your own application status has been updated, but I do not think that there is any system/process change actually (Tuesdays vs. Everyday)

That they are now updating ecas everyday doesn't mean that your file will be updated everyday, it means that you no longer have to wait till Tuesday to see if they have updated your file.

Unfortunately the main issue is that they do not really update ecas... or the CIC account linked to the application. It still says Not needed at this time, and we already had the interview...

Ours was the same day. We were told it could take 2 weeks to a month for a decision depending on how busy they are.
