GTP Teachers who can't get a Canadian license! (UK applicants)

Ok,

I understand that for many bizzare reasons the GTP teacher route is not accepted in pretty much every Canadian province. Retraining in BC is an absolute joke - was told I would need another 4 years of training!!!!

Does anyone know what the retraining options are in other provinces? Specifically Ontario or Alberta?
