Got my GCMS notes - Ready to request passport & RPRF X 1

I got my GCMs notes today and I saw that the last update on my file was made on Feb 02, 2012 at 10.40 AM. The text section of the notes said : " Ready to request passport and RPRF X 1."

Does anyone know how long does it take to receive the PPR email from this update?

Appreciate a response.

I applied on Jan 03, the application was received on Jan 05. They took 30 days to send me the notes.

If you are applying it for yourself and in Canada.. you can apply under Privacy act. (it's free) I did that.

If you are not in Canada, they you have to ask someone to apply it for you because they only mail documents within Canada. In this case you should apply under Access to Information Act and pay $5 for this service.

I filled the form and sent an email for caips gcms on jan 18..

wondering is this right way to send an email of the filled application.

Which email address did you send it to? The form itself says that :

Completed forms must be sent to the following address:
Access to Information and Privacy Coordinator
360 Laurier Avenue West, Office NAR B1036
Ottawa, ON K1A 1L1

If you read it carefully you will see the email address is to get a copy of The records released In response to any of the (below mentioned) requests informally. If you scroll down you will see that there are records by months. I strongly believe you have to mail them the form.

If you are in Canada, you should check the box for "Privacy Act" and attach proof of presence in Canada. It is free.

If you are outside Canada, you should check the box for "Access to Information Act" and attach the $5 fee(that is, you also complete section C).
