Going outside Canada with out PR card, is any risk on that?

Hello,

I became a new resident in October, landed, I have been in Canada for 6 months, and I haven’t received my PR card, in the portal they said that they mail me the card on dicember. I have to go to my Contry this April, and I will be there for two months.
I want to apply for a PRTD, but I’m worried that the agent make a mistake and refuses my application, I’m wondering if that ever happened before, also I sure that a will be able to meet my RO Becouse I’m a new resident and I’m just going for a short time.
Can I do that?

Yes, you can apply for a PRTD. If you went to the US, you can return to Canada (example walking) without PRTD.
