I am in process of submitting my documents to New Delhi Visa Office, before the 120day deadline period.

I need to know if its mandatory to show 3months old FD or would it be ok if i make FD a week before i submit the documents to visa office?

You can show the new FD but will have to show proof of that funds. They want funds should be of the applicant and not borrowed ones.
If someone had sold gold/ property/ shares and then had deposited the amount in bank then it is all right. But at the same time proof of that transaction is also required to be submitted.

If my mother has an FD in her name and she gives me an affidavit of authorization to use this money, is it okey or it will not work.

How about my sibbling sponsoring me withe funds.
For instance my brother paying in the money into my account to assist me and wont be asking for refund.

Thanks Ankit for your reply but I have sent my papers to CIO with the same docs. Do I need to have funds now at this stage. Can it create a problem and they return my file back due to this reason. Kindly reply

Dear Sachin, CIO really does not check all the documents. All doc verification, background check, security check, assesment of whether you have required funds or not is done at CHC level

There is a chance that IO comes back and tells you that he is not staisfied that you have enough funds

Better to liquidate current FD and make a new one in your name

Dont know this info will help u or not, from my experience i can tell u , yes u can show your new FD, they will accept it, but if it is not 3 months or more old than they will send u a letter after 3 months to show the proof of funds again, that time u must show that FD. thats all.. if anyone need to know more PM me.
