Dear Kingfaisal - very good to know things have started moving for u. Where are u based? If u are outside Pak; the MR is very soon now. They are asking for Sche A; additional family information fo and police certificates before the medical request. Be prepared for that also! Good luck and keep sharing any updates u may have. Thanks

Dear Sherdills,

Thank you for your kind reply. Actually my consultant filed my application from Pakistan but actually i live in China. PCC and additional docs(NIC+Birth Certificates+Marriage Certificate+Passport Scanned Copies) has already been requested in June which i have already submitted to LVO, i think now my BG ans Security checks are under process.

Seems like my MR and RPRF is on the way now. Well, Allah knows the best, i am just waiting for the good news. InshAllah we all will get some good news soon.

What is your time line? Where are you based?

I am happy to find this forum, NOC 2145 forum seems scarce.

Please could you help me, I applied under NOC 2145, I have worked as petroleum engineer for two years. My application reached CIO july 24th but unfortunately it was returned Oct 20th, stated reason is that my duties and roles are not corresponding to the chosen NOC even though I can see it is almost as the same as the one on HRSCD.

Now I am planning to reapply, but I am afraid because I am not sure of what they want in the letter, since the former letter is 80% close.
Please could anyone help me with the duties descriptions so I can present it to my former Boss.

I really need help please.

Good day colleagues!

I am well Cementing engineer with 6+ years experience in Oilfield Servise Companies. I am going to apply on FSW in 2015 as a Petroleum Engineer.

But i think that there may be some difficulties in getting qualified as Petroleum Engineer, as my service (well cementing) is not listed as examples. Also job duties are not matching. Does that mean that I will be rejected?

Dear - If you have engineering degree in Petroleum Engineering; you ll be qualifying for that. Just make sure to construct your experience letters in accordance to the requirement from CIC.

Dear Sherdills,

Thx for ur reply & congrats for getting the visa :D

I have rcvd an email from CIC with my file number 1 week ago.

I am not an expert with all the abbreviations here, so I dont know at which stage I am now but I just have one line in my application status on the website.

I am now a bit worried about one thing; the medical. I work away from my home country on 2 mths on x 1 mth off, and as I learned I'm supposed to get the medical request within 1-1.5 mth from now, which will be right in the middle of my hitch as I'm leaving in a few days - so is the maximum allowable time to do the meds 30 or 60 days from the day of the email? I saw it in my bro's email, in the body they say 60 days but in the medical letter (the mail attachment) it says 30 days!!!!!! That will be crucial to know in my case coz if its 30 days I will have to go bk home in the middle of my hitch to do it (Coz my wife has to do it as well, so I dont want to do it where I work and she does it at home then send them separately I think this will be a mess!)
I'd appreciate if you can advise me about that!
Thank you very much...

Dear Nonialize - Good Day
Please accept my congrats on receiving your file number. The first hurdle has been crossed and now this will be on track, slow or fast, depending on your luck :).
Medical requests are mostly 30 days as per my observation, since you are doing rotations, you may get an exception.
All that would be required is to send CIC (VO) an email explaining the situation with a request for extension in the defined timeline. It will be great if you take the appointments from the medical center and mention that in your email that all has been arranged and just requires your physical presences. I have found VO very helpful and supportive, they respond positively to genuine requests.
Regards

Dear Sherdills,
Many thanks for your prompt reply. I think I will do that, I just need to figure out the email address of my VO.

I also have another concern, in the email they sent me for the file number, there was a spelling mistake in one of my middle names: just a "r" was put instead of an "e". Do you think I should correct this now? Or maybe since the visa will be generated using passport data which has the correct spelling so it is not a big deal?

Best Regards,
