Hi,

I have been in Canada for more than a year on a work permit.
I am in the process of initiating my application but i am little confused if i can use Category 3 to initiate my application as i will be leaving Canada in a month or so

As per CIC Category 3 is for students or workers who are legally residing in Canada, and have done so for at least 12 months immediately before submitting their application.

Considering this, i am eligible to initiate my application under Category 3 right now. However i am not sure how would it impact processing at VISA office as i will not be in Canada by that time.

Would highly appreciate inputs from someone who might have been in the same situation

I am also eligible under Category 1 for NOC 0213. I have 10 years of work experience with last 4-5 years as project manager with a software service provider. I was just thinking that Category 3 would be better than Category 1.

Thanks in advance
Arsh

I have applied under FSW category 3. In my opinion, it doesn't matter even you leave canada after you applied. All it matter you have to be residing in Canada one year immediately before applying.

About category 1, just mention them your responsibility.

NS, Sydney will assess you based on category 3, otherwise category 1. I hope you will get postive result.

Thanks for your reply
I have another question on VISA office to be requested for processing the application. Should it be New Delhi or Buffalo?
As i am moving to india in sometime so i am inclined on using New Delhi.
