I received an email from VFS on 4 July about them sending my passports out. Today I received another email for me that I can check the status of my application on their website. Here are the details of what I've found as I tracked my application:

Visa application, tracking ID No.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX is being processed at the Canada Visa Office, Singapore.To know more, please call VAC helpline number or visit VAC website.

I guess I will have to wait longer and pray harder.

Hi Von,
Do check the processing times at the CIC page. If it has been longer than the processing time, please email SGVO.

Hi rk2015! It says 17 months. When does processing start -from the time they received the application or the date we received AOR? Surprising that there are cases where it took 3 months of waiting from medical to PPR. Whew the waiting is making me nervous everyday!

I know its so strange, about more than 2 months til they request PPR. But anyway Im at ease now glad they are working on it

Hi Friends

I am back after a long time. I need help from experts:

I have applied for PR in CANADA on July 2014. Application received date (in Nova Scotia office) is on 9th July 2014. My 2nd child has born On 15th December 2015. I have made query ("Case specific Query") in CIC portal two times to send me the list of the documents and information that I need to submit to add my child in my application but till now I have not received any information from them. Note that, i received PER from CIC on 1st November 2014 and received AOR from VO on 9th December 2014. it has been long time that my "client application status" is showing the 2nd line "2.We started processing your application ......."

in the mean time I have requested for GCMS note and received that on june 2015 where it was showing in progress and tentative date for medical is around December 2015 which I have not received.

in this situation could you pls help me on suggesting a way forward or if you have any information for such delay pls share.

You will have yours soon Im a Filipina but im under TFW my application is about 5 months on Monday 25 July... so yeah God is good

It is from the day you receive the AOR. Hopefully, you don't need to e-mail them and that you will receive the PPR soon. We will await for your update!
