Interestingly, I also noticed something in their case specific enquiry page (https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx). When you want to issue a case specific enquiry, you should choose the type of your application from a drop-down box. This menu has almost every thing except "In- Canada Permanent Residence: Federal Skilled Worker Class". So, technically, they have made it impossible for us to issue a case specific enquiry.

I don't think that we even had the option before. The only way to communicate with them is by email or phone call. Other visa offices don't have the phone option.

In the processing time page that I sent today, it is mentioned that: "If it has been longer than the time shown since you applied, and you need more information concerning the status of your application, use the Case Specific Enquiry form". In my case, it has been more than 13 months since I submitted my application and therefore I should be able to issue a case specific enquiry.

we all know they have a quota and we all applied within the quota. some apps were rejected because quotas have been reached. they weren't prepared enough to process all these apps. by prepared i mean, didn't have enough visas.

on a side note, most of things in canada are like that, it is slower than usa. people here are generally lazy.

We (the ones hanging around without a PPR so far are NOT within the quota hence we have to wait longer, especially the last sentence) Please read this for better understanding

Processing times will vary based on:

Type of application submitted;
Volume of applications received;
How easily we can verify information;
How well and how quickly you respond to any requests or concerns;
Whether the application is complete.
Many more people want to immigrate to Canada than the Government of Canada can bring in each year under our annual immigration plan. Applications received after the maximum has been met may have to wait longer to be processed.

It says applications received AFTER THE MAXIMUM may take longer to process, it means that the quota for 2015 has been met, and we all are awaiting the quota for 2016. This is from the CIC website, the new format for checking processing times which was updated on 23rd December 2015.

It has always been impossible. This office's policy is to not communicate with an applicant , unless his status has changed. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/canada/ottawa.asp

"Due to the high volume of mail received, it is not possible to provide routine status updates. However, you will be contacted if more information is required to continue the processing of your application."

Before they said it will be updated monthly and it hasn't been update for a good 12 months. They don't really stick to their words.

I think they meant by 13 months is the average annual performance result of all VOs around the world. It doesn't change nothing in our status, just another time frame that is useless.

Even today some EE applicants has received PPR!!! :'(

I believe CIC is busy working on Syrian refugees paperworks. We probably have to wait longer.
All my friends that applied in Sep2014 landed several months ago and have already got their PR card. I applied in late Nov2014(PhD stream) and I have not got any results yet.

Is his VO Ottawa? His medical dates are very similar to yours and mine . I think at this point it all depends on your VO if its active or a sleeper.

He is Ottawa VO.
We still have a couple of friends with Dec. 5th file but no updates for them till moment.

Finally some movement for fsw files at ottawa! My ecas is still in process. Let's give it a week or so
