Hello Everyone, i recently joined the forum and my name is Sai, i jave sent my file on July 28 and got a digital message saying it has been received by MIke on AUG 1, and till now i have not heared any sort of communication from CIC or CIO, can any one help me as when can i expect my PER?.. does anyone facing my situation.. appreciate your help please.

Im assuming your mode of payment is DD. In the next couple of days you will be receiving some good news. Some members here same as yours 1st august, just got the PER this morning.

please can anyone help me on this..i called up CIC yesterday.. they said they have sent my file back on 30 sept..i have not receieved it yet.. wat should i do...i cant even send new file cz my original ielts is in the file..i went to british council today,...they said they cant give me another copy of my ielts..please help if anyone has idea abt dis...how to track my file..its been 2 months now..

No action till now, no charges, no email from CIC, no application returned. Waiting endlessly for something to happen. Its been exactly 100 days today. Many of the August applicants have been charged and some have started receiving PER emails as well in the last couple of days. Initial September application charging has also begun since last week. No direction or pattern on how the processing is happening.

Seems like they are finishing off with the CC / DD Charging and sending PERs of the NOCs which are approaching their Cap limit on priority.

But, its just a wild guess ???

Why dont you drop them an enquiry email? I am a 2171 30-aug applicant,DD mode of payment and have t heard back or received my app back. I sent them an enquiry email this Sunday. They will take 30 to 45 days to get a response. But the way things are progressing(which is pretty slow) I wouldnt be surprised to receive a response from them before the actual PER email. You can mail them at cio-sydney-search-enquiry[at]cic.gc.ca to get the status of your application. Yo

Congratulations.. All the best to further processing ;D

I suggest you renew your passport as early as now. Since MR still need around 30-45days after PER if i'm not wrong. By then, when they request for such. You can also send them your renewed passport as an update. Other applicants have done this, so no issue.

May i ask you the mailID from which u receive the PER mail ??

thanks for the revert. I have applied through a consultant and all the correspondence - physical papers / emails etc have happened through them. My consultant is not enquiring further and is asking me to be patient.

Shall I go ahead and write a mail directly to CIC....well in that case, all I can give them is my Name, DOB, NOC, Address and Appln sent and recd date. Will that be sufficient or they look forward to any other info when I enquire about my case through an email to them.

I'm 6th August Applicant applied under 2173 and payment mode through DD.
patiently waiting for some good news from past few weeks..
I am not able to get any confirmation from bank on my DD encashment..!!
hoping for some good news from cic this week 8)
I will try calling today to CIC to get an update.

Have been seeing lot of queries on how to contact CIC for an update.Found this usefull information.
Hope it helps others on the forum who are also eagerly waiting for an update.

How to get in touch with CIC over the phone or via email

NOTE: It is not necessary that you will get information about Federal Skilled Worker Program. Do not call them before time [8 ~ 10 weeks], they will NOT be able to help you!

Via Email

For case specific query, you need to e-mail at CIO-Sydney-Search-Enquiry[at]cic.gc.ca .

You will have to send them your Last name, First name, Date of Birth, Country of Birth with additional info like application received date at CIC in order to get the notification

Via Phone

Getting in touch on the phone:
call to below number based on your location
Inside Canada: 1-888-242‑2100
Outside Canada: 1-613-944-4000

if calling to 1-613-944-4000 follow below steps:
Select 1 for English
Then 1 for foreign affair
2 for immigration
Call is being transferred to CIC
Then 1 for English
2 for status
1 for PR

If you don't have a UCI and want to obtain it :

When it asks you to enter UCI number just be on hold n let it say it 3 times then the call is automatically transferred to an agent
Agent will ask information about last name, first name, date of birth, application received date, email id etc.

If you already have a UCI and want to check the status:

In last IVR system ask you to enter your UCI
Once you enter your UCI,
If system directs you directly to agent without any announcement it's means your payment is not Encashed yet
If after entering your UCI, you listen the announcement like ” your application has received on xxx day” it's means you have been charged now wait for the PER
