Dear bro, don't lose patience. I know its hard to keep, but wait in his will.
Would suggest you to raise a case specific inquiry and apply for gcms notes as well. Check with your employer, if they received any verification call just to check if they are working on your application.

I have sent a draft having 3 months validity for RPRF dated 07 March and my wife's X-Ray test will be done in July.

So will that draft be encashed before expiry of its validity or only after my wife's medical is complete?

best is through a bank - your bank will have a canadian dollar correspondent.. they can do it easily.. you will need to have an account in Canada though.

Hello everyone,
I have received my visa a week ago. looking at the documents I submitted about the family information, I suddenly realized that my father's year of birth is given by me as 1951 whereas its actually 1952!! the date and month match but not the year. He has applied for his passport and will receive it anytime in 2 weeks from now..javascript:void(0);
My worry is whether the CIC would cross-check it when my father applies for a visiting visa to canada when i am there sometime in future?

Those moving to CANADA can open a Canadian dollar account after receipt of visa and copr. The account will be with Scotia bank in Canada and Indian partner is Kotak Mahindra bank under star right program. Kotak bank has International Account branches in major cities of India.

Scotia bank also has branches at New Delhi,Bangalore,Mumbai. The account can be opened within 6 month of departure and before 15 days of landing.

The account shall be activated only when one lands in Canada and contacts the Scotia bank. If one does not land in Canada with in 6 month the account shall be closed.

For those who do not wish to carry cash ,this is the best solution .The bank statement can be shown while landing as proof of settlement funds,if so demanded by Immigration Officer.

Dear All,

After my PER mail was received in December, me and my wife applied for a new set of passports for addition of spouse name in our respective passports.

Now since my second line has been updated in Feb and I have not received my Meds yet....do u think I shud mark an email to NDVO telling them about my updated passports and shud I wait for MR and send new passport copies at the time only.

If yes...pls send me an email on which I should send my email to NDVO intimating them about my new passport numbers.

your case is positive and may under background check , you can ask for gcm note and check where it is stuck , also send email to ndvo

Many applicants are waiting (May, Jun, Jul) and no one at this forum can say for sure. However, NDVO may shower all of us with Passport Requests by end of this month.
