Hi,

Today I tried to get DD of CAD 150 from SBI towards fee of adding my child in the application. As per VO the draft shall be payable at New Delhi. However, SBI refused to give the same payable at Delhi but payable at Canada.

Shall I get the draft of INR 8,200 payable at New Delhi instead of CAD 150.

Please advise

Yes, Get a DD of 8200 INR in favour of "Canadian High Commission" or "Receiver General for Canada" payable at New Delhi.

Yes, a bank cannot issue a draft payable in New Delhi in a foreign currency. The INR amount of Rs. 8,200 is what you need to get the draft for.

hii al.. wht might be the process going on after update of second line... some are getting MR even before the update some on the same day some waiting for months.. can anyone plz explain ....

Do you mean after receiving update, it immediately turn to MR?

Once the file is transferred to VO

Second line appears when the assigned IPA opens file in GCMS and begins processing it by initiating document verification and criminality check. Upon completion he/she sends MR.

until and unless it is changed on http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/india-inde/visas/fees-frais.aspx?lang=eng. You do not have to worry.

This remains constant irrespective of exchange rate going up and down

Hi inamul70,

You can never assume that the interview is waived off. VO can ask you to meet in person at any stage of the application.
Stastically the probability does reduce of this occurrence post medicals. But you will see a few cases on this forum where people have been called post meds.
Stay positive and worry free, as long as the credentials talk for themselves, you got nothing to worry about.

Bud, this figure has no connect with the exchange rate.
As of Today CAD 150 is around Rs. 7456.

CIC, NDVO has these figures standardised and they will not change.
Get the DD for that amount with confidence. Nothing to worry about.

VO: NDVO
App Date: Aug 6th
PER : Nov 29th
2nd Line update: Feb 9th ( It was mentioned processing started on 5th Feb)

Now waiting started for MR

i didnt mean that .. i wanted to know wht happens after the second line is added in the ecas..

Actual processing is then started. My 2nd line showed up on January 15, 2015. Neither MR, nor any other news since then.
