I think I did two things which may have negative impact on my apps

First, For birth certificate, I did not include an affidavit from My parents, instead a notarized self affidavit plus Secondary school leaving Certificate copy .

Is that fine ?

Secondly My father name per passport and secondary school leaving certificate is Kunhiraman Nambiar but when I was filling up the application form I specified as Kalyadan Kunhiraman Nambiar ( Where Kalaydan is his family name).

Does it have any issues?

I think this wait is killing me. my application is reached on july 15 and I know I have to wait several months . I wish if they could move faster ................................. I hope they do once the initial tsunami is over

Hi All.... Any idea did the CC charge begin for May 12, 13 and 14 applicants?

There was one charge reported yesterday for the 12th of May that I know of!

Oh, there are many other explanations, choose whichever you like more :

- CIO has thrown all its resources to encash the fees, so that DDs are still valid by the time they are encashed (6 months maximum).
- Application processing priorities were changed to ensure all applications which have got PER are transferred to their corresponding visa offices faster, so that CIO-Sydney does not become a bottleneck.
- 8 out of 9 officers who review application eligibility went on a vacation ;D Yes, that's the real slowdown ratio, 81 PERs in one month and only about 7-9 PERs in the second month.
- Officers have discovered this forum and are now too busy reading what we say here about them. Hi officers! ;D
- And this is not a full list

Moreover, what I believe is that CIC is checking files thoroughly so that LVO is instructed clearly on which app to do BCG and not and also all the points calculations and other things are already provided in complete manner so that LVO doesn't need to any rechecking and directly send MRs. In this way the processing time of file would be very less from LVO side.

The Status will be Worker. If you select worker then the Validity dates will be enabled in the form. You can then populate the values from your Visa Page.

I assume, the no of applications received from 12 May Onwards would be more that earlier and Is there a Categorywise processing creteria for example Computer programmers are done at a priority ??????

Since I am in urgent need of this info, I am reposting it again. Do not consider this as Spam...
This is regarding the recent envelopes of the documents sent to WES Canada.

now to give the background, I have done Bachelors of Computer Engineering and prior to that I had done Diploma in Industrial Electronics.

The recent package of docs that I have sent to WES includes 2 envelopes:
1. Bachelors of Engineering marksheets and convocation
2. Diploma in Industrial Electronics marksheets and diploma certificate.

Now What I want to know here is what will be the outcome of the WES reports and more specifically how many points I will be able to claim from CIC as per WES report?

After SSC i.e. Standard 10th I joined Diploma which was 4 year course (normally its 3 year but this was Semester Sandwich Pattern which includes Inplant Training or Internship of 2 semesters.) Followed by Engineering of 3 years(direct joining into 2nd Year after Diploma)

All these affliated from Mumbai University (Engineering) and Mumbai State Board of Technical Education (Diploma).

Long story short:
Total years of Education 10+4+3 = 17 years
What will be my report as per WES and what will be points that I can claim from CIC?

Does it have any issues? There is a scope of confusion here. I would have used at least a cover letter to clarify this. But this should not be a major issue.

Did anyone of you receive PER email from CIC? I got information from my bank that demand draft is charged on 3rd July but still no communication from CIC? Please share the updates.

I am working in dubai from 2007 , but i will visit India each year for a duration of 2 months as vacation

so i have to mention those 2 months also in the address (the address where i stay in india is same for all visits)

or

shall i mention from 2007 iam staying in dubai ( but 2 months i have gap as i visit india)

And why should Computer programmers be done at a priority? Do they have two heads or something? 8)

Processing is strictly FIFO; first in, first out.

HI, CIO is still processing applications received on May 8th and 9th. You have to be extremely patient as your batch may be attended to a long time from now. Relax
