Assuming my application reaches CIC on May 28, 2014 for NOC 1112.

Do you think I have a chance to make it?
My duties come pretty close to NOC1113 too. Do you think I should apply with a bit different duties but the same employer for NOC 1113 as well?

Did you mean that you already dispatched the Apps (NOC 1112 cat.) and its on the way for delivery to CIO on 28th ?
If yes, then nothing can be done.. just wait for them to start Updating Cap pages & decide later for another 1113 Apps .. till then its a guessing game

It would have been prudent for you to Apply for 1113 at first place instead of 1112, given that its such a hotie !

Thanks neel-here for your reply. I came to know that one can apply for 2 NOCs with completely different application packets. So I am thinking of putting an app with NOC 1113 as well. Do you think that would work, given that I will be using the same job for 2 nocs but slightly different experience letters.

You guys seem to be on top of the things. I am just beginning to think about applying for FSWP 2014. Yet to give IELTS, get ECA, and put together rest of the stuff.

So, my first question to all of you is that do I have a chance in terms of beating the cap. I would most likely apply for 4011 University professors and lecturers, or 2132 Mechanical engineers.

From what I checked for last time, as of October 2013, Mechanical Engineer cap was at 219/300. This time the limit being 1000, chances should be brighter (?).

Secondly, if anyone has a weblink that shows statistic of cap-fill for 2013, it would be great.

if ur job description and ur duties and responsibilities are similar to NOC 4011, then my suggestion is go for that NOC it is really really cold NOC

Actually 6 month before Me and My family shifted to new home ( permanent address ) as we sold our previous home.

In my previous Home , Me and my family spent more than 12 years.

So Do I need to get the PCC from both houses/addresses ?

Just to add Local Police station is common for both houses.

There is one spreadsheet I found that shows the status (and is answer to my second question asked earlier). I couldn't post it here somehow, but it says so far, 10 applications have been filed in 4011. No prior (2013) data for the same though.

I agree, but I don't want to end up working towards a dead-end either.

I could only understand some of the jargon though.

BC : ?
PCC : Police Clearance Certificate (16-18 weeks), but not necessary to be submitted with application
POF : ?
Passport : ? (I already got it)
ECA : Education Assessment (4-6 weeks)
