Dear FSW 2013 forum Mates

My application processing started at LVO from April 09,2014. After that in May 2014 I received email asking to resubmit one application form and police certificate which I did submit with in 10 days. I was told following then;

"For information: lengthy background checks are now in process for your application. We are unable to advise when they will be completed but they are liable to take quite some yet.

We will contact you again as soon as we are able to. You need take no further action at this time."

Till now nothing heard from them. Any comments how much time they can take or someone experienced some similar situation.

In the main form IMM 0008, In "consent to release information" Section I mentioned my name as KAZI ISLAM but my full name is KAZI ZAHIRUL ISLAM. I did it as they mentioned to provide (first name, last name). Will it be a problem not mentioning the middle name here?

Can anyone help what is the step wise procedure for WES? One of my friends is stuck. The case details are as follows,

1. MS from U.K
2. BS from Pakistan

For which degree equivalency shall be requested? MS or BS?

MS will do. I did it like that. No need to send the BS documents. Just follow the WES instructions for the UK universities. It will be simpler and you will get the same amount of points (they evaluate based on the higher degree attained).

I live in Saudi Arabia, I have done medical on August 14th, my VO is London, are they going to indicate this in the status of my application on the CIC website? if yes how much time will it take to appear there?

also what is the expected time for LVO to request for passport?

Hi congrates on your MR !! Yes they will update the 3rd line as medical received if all is fine .. it will take approx.. 2 weeks .. dont worry all will be fine have you also paid your RPRF fee ...

Dnt worry about the sin no. U can that no from service canada from calgery.
I m in winnipeg and didnt get my sin at torranto so i got at service canada.

whosoever, landed recently at Calgary got SIN card from the AIRPORT itself ? , does YYC airport gives out SIN's while landing. I have come across few posts from Toronto settlers who got it done at the airport, but haven't seen anyone said the same at YYC airport, so just wanted to confirm on this.

1) will it be late?
2) Is it Ok to send PCC at later stages.
3) my wifes birth certificate is lost, and to get a new one seems to take long time, any other alternatives please.
4) wether the bank statements send along with aplplication will again be requested at the time of medical request.
5) Is it mandotary to apply through London office if one is staying in KSA, irrespective of nationality. Or we can apply from any office.

3) my wifes birth certificate is lost, and to get a new one seems to take long time, any other alternatives please. if you are from PAkistan then birth certificate can be issued by union council in 1 to 2 days
4) wether the bank statements send along with aplplication will again be requested at the time of medical request. send bank statement
5) Is it mandotary to apply through London office if one is staying in KSA, irrespective of nationality. Or we can apply from any office. you can either select any office depends on processing time, better select office which is for your nationality

1) will it be late? No you are not late , better apply as soon as possible. take Risk instead of nothing
2) Is it Ok to send PCC at later stages. Yes its okay , but attach a statement that you will submit it later
3) my wifes birth certificate is lost, and to get a new one seems to take long time, any other alternatives please. ( Matric certificate will work , as I have seen cases in FWS 2013 from India , but better get it from union council )
4) wether the bank statements send along with aplplication will again be requested at the time of medical request. it depends on the visa officer may or may not be
5) Is it mandotary to apply through London office if one is staying in KSA, irrespective of nationality. Or we can apply from any office. if you are in KSA since last one year then attach proof as mentioned on CIC website and mention London visa office otherwise mention visa office of your Home country.

Dear Forumites,

I have some very important queries, thus need an urgent and immediate response from you people. [/b]

We (myself, spouse and daughter) have got a visa (valid March 11th, 2015) and I am landing in Toronto on Aug 31st, 2014, but currently my wife is pregnant (5th month going to complete) and she would deliver the baby within Jan 15th, 2015. Basically, She has spinal cord problem, so I am planning her delivery in India itself.

My queries are:

1. Is that possible to get a visa for infant with in a month?
2. If not, could I get visitor visa for infant within a month?
