Dear all,

My friend is about to send out the application package, however he has a question and i think our experienced members here can help explain:

During his 4 years of working, there was 1 year he was sent by the company to a Master program oversea, the 4 years were mentioned in the LOR as full time working. The question is that whether the his working experience would be counted by CIC as 4 years, or only 3 years?

Without this 1 year still in doubt, his point may not reach the 67 pass.

Another option is to get his spouse IELTS combined, but the earliest test is 5th April, by the time they receive the result, there's only 12 days left before the deadline 30th Apr.

Should they send 2 sets? With and without the spouse's ielts?

Friends, crossed my 50 day BFD date for PPR, starting my official count down today for getting DM/PPs. It's been 50 days since my MR request and they had mentioned it to be done by today... soo the race starts..51st day and counting. All my best for all waiting.

Hello Abhi,

You can get married and send updated information to NDVO. They will process PR for your spouse as well.Will take 2-3 months
But once you go there, It will take time .

i would say dont think much abt marriage...it will happen anyways...focus more on your career......marriage is a big headache

Hi Guys,


When I try to login to CIC website to check my application status, I get "We were not able to identify you using the information you provided. There could be three possible reasons:".

This is happening for more than 24 hours now... anyone else facing issues while checking their file status..

Note: The information I enter is correct, verified many times.

FYI: MED request, PPR, RPRF, PCC request on 24th Feb.
MED Done: 3rd March
Passports reached at CHC- 13th March

The last update was " Medical results have been received" on 14th March.

Now, I can not check the status.. If I have to contact, where to report this issue.. any ideas?

I've received an stupid email from SG VO asking for me and my wife HSC & SSC certificates and transcripts. Anybody got similar email after PER. How to send additional docs ... by post or by email attachment.

I also didnt send those docs of my spouse. In my opinion --Visa officers of SGVO is still unaware that Spouse educational documents are not mentioned on FSW13 checklist which was a required items on earlier times.

May 2013...rushed to finish our ielts.....wes....verifications...birth certificates etc.....everything done...

June 2013....ielts result came n to what happenec was beuond our ecpectations....hubby got 5.5 in reading...whatba blow..

End of June 2013.....sat in ielts again.....got excellent rexults......everything ready to be sent

10th July 2013..just to avoid too much paper work of our to be born baby we sent our paper to NS...

11th July 2013...baby born......n to our utter surprise we realized ddnt send pics with our package.....n hubbys pp was abt to
expired in Aug 2014...

NOW THE WAIT BEGINS FOR THE PACKAGE TO RETURN......

Oct 2013...we make a move n change our job ...head towards our home country......

Nov 2013.....no clue of package.....kept in touch with an old collegue to receive the package n inform us


Dec 2013...package arrives with the only objection of pictures......hubby reached back n started aranging the docs again...

Jan 2014....package sent again,..with lots of hopes

Feb 2014....the bank called to inform that since the credit card is on old id card it will soon be blocked.....may be in 3 weeks...

11th Feb 2014.....when our new born was exactly 7 months old our cc was charged n the e cas status was updated.......

The point I wanted to make was we tried to avoid the paperwork of newborn so that it would be less hassle.......BUT NO........THERE HAD TO BE A RIGHT TIME........n we tried to control the events..
So u will never be late.........dnt worry n best wishes for u...

umm abdullah, very touching account. So true! we can not truly control the events, even though we think so. They happen when the time is right. We just have to do our job, but not think that we are controlling it.
