Hi Amanroop,

You have to inform the CHC regarding this as your wife has changed the name. This does not match with ur initial application.

Yes i check it 5 times daily not any update yet
felling tensed...now i can understand plight of early may and june applicants.
actually i was also june 05 applicant but bcoz of consultants mistake my file returned and i resubmitted in oct otherwise i too might b enjoying DM

It's okay...I am sure the updates will be done in their sweet time. Your DM will be delayed by 2 months tops. Nothing to be worried about. More than the update, look forward to the MR as ppl have received MRs irrespective of the 2nd line updates.

Guys, I've received our Passports today with the shiny Maple leaf on them. Visa issue date 4-Feb-2014, expiring 14-Oct-2014 which is the expiry date for my passport as well. My spouse also has the same visa expiry although her passport will expire in 2019...but I understand the logic.
Surprisingly there's no photo on our visas. The COPR copies does have our photos affixed to them.
Along with received WES original certificate, transcripts and 'few' referral letters. What I can't answer here is that 'few' and why not all or none at all !!!

I will go through this and start working on my documentation
I had problem with my date of birth, as my parents name is there but not mine. And for my wife she also doesn't have DOB certificate. Other wise Remaining I think I can just work on it very hard to get things done.

Can you brief ... (for - 1. translation 2. your official name 3. name change after marriage)

1. translation: In my case the original BC was in Hindi and had my birth name on it. So the attorney translated the BC in English on a legal (green color) paper. This he then attached to a stamp paper on which he swore that the translation is true and he is a registered attorney etc. etc.

2. official name: Since my birth name is not the same as what I have been using officially (school etc.), I had to make another affidavit to claim that the attached BC is mine and that I officially go by other name. This also had my photograph on it.

3. Name change after marriage: For my wife we had to make one more affidavit including the first two. Her first and last name was changed after marriage. We had to make an affidavit to declare that for records as well.

(phew!! what a ride it is! ??? NDVO, MR please!!!)

Did you get the mail with UCI or File number, If its correct in that you do not have to worry for name displayed in ECAS. If UCI mail still not received, better wai ill then.

Is it that you have not mentioned anything in the Surname field for your wife. If that is the case, NDVO has used her old surname. Check with the hospital staff if any modifications are required. Also, put a mail to NDVO informing them the discrepancy.

The validity of the PCC will be 1 year from the date of issue. There is no harm in sending the PCCs now with the addition of new born; if you file is taken up, you case may move quickly due to submitted PCCs. In worst case scenario, if you file is not taken up for 1 year, you may be asked to resubmit. At the end, it is you who has to make a calculated decision whether to send PCCs now or later.

At what stage they ask for ploice certificate? after medical ?

There was no police involved for my PCC. I went to PSK in Hyderabad by booking an appointment(which is not mandatory). They made me wait for 2 hours and gave me my PCC on the spot. No police at all.

If your present address is same as address mentioned in your passport than they don't send for police verification and issue PCC on the spot. I also got PCC on the same day, in single visit to PSK.

From NDVO's experience, it could be along with medicals, or with passport and RPRF request, or all at once (MR, PP, PCC, RPRF)

I disagree with you. I guess there might be some off days in between where they do some paperwork and send out notifications on the other days. I am guessing activity will resume from tomorrow or from next Monday tops.

I got mail with UCI in which middle name is not correct as i mentioned, then i check ECAS from this UCI number even there they are displaying same wrong name as it is in mail.. ??? ???
However i check my copy of application there i wrote correct name as it is in passport,IELTS, Degree certificates, Marriage certificate and all documents.
