From a language point of view, YES!

Please note, you need to score minimum of 6 on each ability, not 6.5 on one and 5.5 on the other ...

Hi experts,

I have been wondering in forum since long but couldn't find the desired answers, so please help me answering my below query.

I am a citizen of India and is currently residing in US, I want to apply under FSW category 2013 but not sure about Police clearance certificate requirements, Please tell me that, whether along with FBI do I also need to get clearance certificates from states I resided at present and past in US,as well as clearance certificate from my home country India?

Hi Neha, I too live in US. first of all, you can apply initially without PC. PC's are generally valid for 1 year but when you submit it should not be more than 3 months old. Even if you submit your file with PC now, you still will be asked to provide new PC by local visa office at a later stage.

You need to get both India and US Police clearance.

You can visit Indian consulate in your city/state to obtain PC. It takes a day if you passport is issued in US otherwise 3 weeks.
I have not inquired how to obtain PC from FBI yet. other forum members who has done this can help you.

So my advise, as of now apply without PC and once your file is successful and moves to local Visa office, you will be asked to submit PC and thats the right time apply for it. By the way, which NOC you are planning to apply?

With all due respect you might have a difference of opinion. But laughing away at a suggestion which has found favour with quiet a few members is not just rude but also overt the top high handedness.

I hear Mr Narayanmurth once say on TV and he basically said that you have the right to disagree as long as you are not disagreeable.

I know you are on a high after getting your UCI, but in case you dint know I am in Canada for the last 2 years with a PR. I am also one of the very few people who have been hired in a good job in my line of work in one week of landing here. Yes one of the biggest banks in the world gave me a job offer in less than a week of landing here.

With all due respect please give my suggestion a solid thought and lets work on making this forum more effective and helpful for everyone involved. I am all for newbies posting the most mundane of questions. But writing crap that only adds to the pages here is not the way to go. I repeat you have every right to disagree.

He said his status is IN PROCESS but has not received an email from CIO for PER and Application number.

Does this mean his PER and Application number were assigned and about to receive an email?
That is, Does the 'IN Process' status mean PER is well finalized already and about to transfer the application to visa office?

What do your location, PR status and job have to do with anything? Your suggestion was supported by some and rebuked by others. Since jigzyy and islandbabe are the founders of this thread, I would think they have a better say in what should be the rules here. I didn't see any of them support you. So live with it, mate. And bragging is never a good thing.

His DD is encashed and he shall be receiving PER within 10 days by email.

You must provide police certificates from every country where you had residency more than 6 month in the last 10 years.
I think. But might be wrong.

They have nice big manual for applicants there.

FBI covers all states. If you lived in ( Il, NY, FL) you don't need to get one from each state, that way they want FBI, and of course the one from your home country.
