I have settlement funds around 17500 CAD and it's enough for 3 member family. Do I need to write the same price in assets or just in settlement funds?

Write CAD 17,500 in assets. Zero for liabilities. then CAD 17,500 in funds for settlement.

I called CIC on the number Huang provided last Thursday. It was June 27th, and the lady told after checking the info that she is only getting a note that they have started to work on your file Today.

So thats how I know that they have started on May 10th.

Thanks jigzyy and welcome back. It is clear that they haven't yet charged any May 10 applicants. Here is to hoping that CIC come back refreshed after Canada day and zoom through to 15 May or so by the end of the week. Perhaps wishful thinking

I already sent out my application to Canada on last 28th...so far i have done 2 mistake in my Application:

1. In my Generic Application : i did not mentioned anything in the filed "Immigration office requested to process this application".
2. 2ndly did not signed in the payment form...

Can anyone tell me the effect for those.. Felling terrible.

CIC cap could be of any date as I have a feeling that the many NOCs are being processed as of different dates. For example, there are probably fewer applications in NOC 3141 vs. say 1112. Therefore, the specialist reviewing NOC 3141 may perhaps have reached 15 May while the 1112 guy is only at 8/9 May. Again, this is pure speculation. Here is hoping that NO cap has been reached in any category...

lets have one or two more CAP update form CIC and the system which they adpot will be more clear. . . . .

Sorry to say but it will be sent back to you. We have got one case in our spread sheet who has got package returned as he had not signed payment form... Extremely Sorry !!

Technically, you are correct. But good luck trying to value all your assets and liabilities. I think CIC is more concerned about liquid settlement funds that you can bring along to Canada. As long as you pass the threshold, all the rest is just added cushion. You can do both but my way is prob the easiest way...

A question? After you receive PER and you're being transferred to VO , do you need to resend your complete documents again to VO or CIC does that now?
Because few years ago a friend applied and we he got PER he resend the complete package again to VO.
