Idima where have u applied from?
We have got our file number but now the whole thing is in the hand of the Visa office. Do u have any idea how long it takes in the london visa office?

Watching many people from more efficient visa offices getting their visas and being happy for them, I have mixed feelings at the same time.

My guess that in LVO it will take approximately the same amount amount of time as in Moscow, New-Delhi or Singapore-eternity.

If you apply on Jan 2013 your file will be taken for evaluation only on March last or April 1st week so there is a chance for the over all cap 5000 to get fill because its already 2785 now. That's what I meant. It will be better if you could give your IELTS in December 1st or 2nd week.

Dear ri8 now i am in Norway for company work, my family is in INdia so when i will go for vacation in Dec end then only i will be able to study, here i dont get time for study there for keeping faith on my luck i will be taking chance in Jan 2014. keeping my finger crossed. thanks for concern.

My best bet was taking online mock tests day in and day out and also being confident during the exam.

Yup the lucky guys are from Hong-Kong, Paris, Sao paulo, Bucharest and CPP-O. The other offices are focussing on back logs. All of us are unlucky since we have to do our process through NDVO, LVO, SGVO etc..

I Just checked the Medical Monsoon thread...NDVO is issuing DM's and also requesting Passports for the 2010 applicants. Looks like its gonna drag till January.

If u r applying for Canadian FSW program, u need only 6 not 7 band in each section.

And before these backlogs they were clearing previous backlogs, and before them earlier backlogs and so on...
You know what strange, knowing about existing problems with backlogs and processing times in these offices for many many years, they did nothing to address this problem. No reallocation of resources, placing additional visa officers in these offices, improving procedures...nothing.

I start to think they do nothing about this intentionally, maybe something similar to green card lottery in USA putting some kind of intake limits from certain countries for diversity purposes. But doing this kinda cruel and torturous way.

I Hope NDVO will start sending MR from january 2014 as it seems that they are done with quota allowed for a year...

Can you please send me the Reference letter that you used for applying for PR. I am planning to apply under 2174 NOC next year.
