Agreed. I'd just say this year it will be worse than usual since global cap is cut in half and per-occupation one from 500 to 300. Also, there was a fullstop on applications last year.
Maybe CIC is simply trying to get rid of the backlog of a few 100k people and they said - "ok, let's allow say... 5k of the new ones, just so that no one says that we stopped accepting".

On the other hand - those with job offers are safe from caps. It's not CIC's fault we don't have a job offer.

Speaking of that - does anyone know if self-sufficient people have any way at all to get into CA? Apart from investor/business visas.

The total intake should have been 10000 and 500 /NOC instead of the petty 5000 and 300/NOC respectively considering the fact that last year there was no FSWP. But finally it's upto the cic to decide about the desired NOC and the limit.

They are pretty strict on it here in the UK. The institution I used told me they will send me only one copy but send as many as I like to institutions abroad; so if you need another copy you need an institution to send it to!

@jars123 - I suggest requesting a copy of the IELTS in order to make another application now, rather than waiting for the return of the application

I just read in another thread that the CIC is in strike mode and some of the foreign offices have already started not working at full capacity.....

Can anyone in Canada confirm ... Is this the reason of delayed response on Cap update and reverts to applications for FAWP.....

I'm also in the same situation as yours. I submitted the older version of the schedule 3. I'm still waiting for my application to be returned. I have a question on the IELTS though. I did sent my original IELTS report with my application. Looks like it is difficult to get a duplicate one in case if I have to resubmit my application. How did you manage IELTS report when you resubmitted the application. Did CIC sent the IELTS back to you ?
