Hey canadavisa,

I got my visa on 15th April, 2016 and I am flying 28th April, 2016 from Ahmedabad via Bombay, London to Ottawa, ON. I have booked AirIndia flight. My consultant said me that I can take 3 Baggage each of 23Kg to Canada and 7Kg carry bag. Is it true?

And I have a waiting time of 3 hours and 50 minutes at London, so do I need to clear customs? Or it will be done directly in Ottawa, Ontario?

i read as 2 x 23kg http://www.airindia.in/USA-canada-checked-baggage-allowances.htm check with the airline cannot answer the uk customs question but would have thought baggage check all way through again check with the airline

But I heard somewhere that, if you are going Canada on Student Visa, then you can +1 baggage allowance. I don't know whether it is true or not.

Soon InshAllah
Its quite simple really.
Check the baggage allowed in canadian airlines. Because if ur taking a connecting flight from toronto or montreal or vancouver to somewhere else in canada then u wld need to hav baggage tht wld be allowed on their airlines. And airlines all over the world follow the same principle i.e. they allow u the baggage which wil be later allowed to u within canada. Its maximum 2 bags not exceeding 23 kgs.
