Fixed deposits in wife's account (joint account with her mother)

Hi, being a primary applicant, can I show fixed deposits in my wife’s account (joint account with her mother) under proof of funds?

If your wife is included in your application it's OK to show the funds in her account.
But I'm not sure if a joint account with her mum may pose a problem. Please wait for expert members to give you better advice.

break the FD, transfer the $ to your account, keep proof of paper trail & as per local laws get appropriate legal docs necessary to legalize the gift from them (wife + mom)
