Yung sa #3 na question ko, I know you said it's ok but I'm just worried. ok lang ba na 1-2 weeks dun tapos lalabas din agad? then babalik na lang sa November? I mean wala kayang maging issue sa immigration pag babalik na ako ng canada by Nov? I was thinking that when I enter canada, it's going to be in the immigrant status then I would leave after a week without the PR card yet. Worried lang ako baka magka-issue ako with the immigration when I tell them of my plans. They might deny my entry.

Both me and my husband are here on working visas.

1. The destination in our COPR is Vancouver BC but we wanted to change our destination to Toronto since this is the one near New York. Do we need to contact CIC about this change? Pwede bang hindi na sila i-inform na hindi na kami sa Vancouver, basta na lang kami pumunta ng Toronto?
=yes you can land anywhere you want & dont need to inform the CIC about it since you applied under FSW.

2. Granted we could change it, we are planning of just entering Canada by crossing the boarder by land - driving from New York to Toronto. Is this OK? or should we enter Canada by commercial carrier? May problema kaya?
=you can enter canada by just crossing the boarder via land. we also plan to have a long drive fr CT to Toronto takes 6hrs i guess... once we receive our visa

3. Isa pang tanong ko, since nag-aaral ung anak namin ngayon saka may commitment pa kami sa trabaho dito until November, pupunta lang muna sana ang isa sa amin dun sa Toronto for a week or two (magle-leave sa trabaho) para makahanap or mag-arrange ng deal ng uupahang bahay/apt, para pag dating ng time ng permanent move namin, may matitirahan na kami na maayos, hindi na palipat-lipat or di na magho-hotel. Pano kaya un? pwede kaya un?

=yes you can do that if you really decide to stay in canada for good. to follow na lang other members of the family... you can ask seniors here most esp if they experience such case.

btw, what is your status in US?

theres a lot of here were doing that way... thats our advantage of being here in US than spending airfare cost fr pinas to canada. im planning to spend just a day & submit all the requirements for landing then comeback to US again and return to canada within a year. btw, i will look for that forum where they experienced landing by road...

Well, I haven't submitted our documents to the VO but we will soon... as in hopefully this week! Hehe

Anyway, I just want to ask, how do you hand-carry the documents to Canadian Embassy RCBC Plaza. Do you place it in a drop box?

If you submit by hand-carrying it, will you have a faster second AOR? Smiley That would be great if yes!

What's the timeline na pala for your status to change from CIO to Received by VO to In Process?

My mom called to inform me that I have a medical request na yey! It was dated September 8 so dapat within 60 days makapag bigay ako medicals. Problem ko eh nasa USA ako, and my employers won't let me go back home because I have a pending working visa here in USA. Pwede ba magpa medicals sa states? Please help.

congrats! you're one more step closer . . of course you can. ask your mom to send you the request for medical. there are a number of designated medical practitioners (DMP) there in the US

Mas mahirap nang pumasok ng Canada sa ilalim ng Federal Skilled Workers Program ngayon.

Bukod sa point system na kailangan para maging skilled immigrant, dapat nasa listahan din ng in-demand jobs sa Canada ang trabaho mo sa Pilipinas.

Binawasan na rin ngayon ang in-demand jobs sa Canada, mula sa 39 ay 29 na lamang ito ngayon.

Hindi na kailangan ang mga popular na trabaho noon tulad ng accountants, IT personnel, bank at financial managers at iba pa.

In-demand na trabaho ngayon ay mga health workers, chef, restaurant at service managers at mga nasa construction.

Naglagay na rin ng quota ang immigration Canada: 20,000 skilled workers na lamang ang puwedeng bigyan ng permanent resident status kada taon.

Dahil sa quota, limitado na sa unang 1,000 aplikante mula sa iba't ibang bansa ang tatanggapin nila sa bawat trabaho.

Kung hindi aabot, tanging ang pagkakaroon na lamang ng job offer ang pag-asa ng mga skilled workers para makapasok ng Canada.

Obligado na ring kumuha ng English test ang lahat ng aplikante sa skilled workers program.

Sa website ng Citizenship at Immigration Canada, ipinaliwanag ni Immigration Minister Jason Kenney ang dahilan sa likod ng mga pagbabago.

maharlika friend musta kna? i was about to PM you sa FB! hehe. d bale malapit na PPR mo, ako naman more than a month na ako waiting for DM and Visa.. sana anytime soon meron na tau PPR and visa. Wala pa ako CIIP sched, agent kasi namin mag-sched samin, wait pa ako. sa COA, pa-sched ako as soon as may visa na, pati PDOS...

congrats hjk!my status changed to in process last august 31. sept 4, i received a letter with the medical request(however without the forms kc i have to submit pix muna which i have done) plus rprf. it is indicated in the letter na i should complete the requirements within 60 days from the date of the letter which is august 27. so yung counting ng 60 days starts from the date of the mr.i hope this helps!

thanks m2canada...by the way...where do you plan to take your medical exam?
