Not sure who is updating the scoreboard.. But wanted to update this forum that I have finally received the PPR Request on 12/1. so now only need to get back visa issues and enter Canada

So going back to the recent CAIPS notes comments, I take it those BFD dates are more like guidelines or the very latest they will look at your application again? My BFD says Feb 2012, but my application was just transferred to NY Nov 16 (by showing of ecas) and I found some people who have had theirs transferred around the same time are getting MR.

did you find entries in your CAIPS different than your file status? Did you apply CAIPS 4 times through the same agency or through a different one?

When I received CAIPS, I found the entries to be true. If any entry said, "Sent Email on XX-XX-XXXX', I did receive email on the same day.

Thanks for the reply. I applied CAIPS on my own. Every time i apply for the CIAPS note they are sending me the same old and outdated notes saying that it is the one they have in their system. Any way i apply for the notes this week.....

my file got transferred on nov 16. But i got a mail from the NY office only nov 29 that they received my file and they will send the instruction within 90 days. How did you know about people getting MR..

Did you get snail mail or email from NY VO?

I think I saw people with file transferred to NY VO transferred a month or so before us getting MR.

Got Medical Request Today through Snail Mail.My eyes had been aching for long to see that Brown Envelope in the mail.
Also,checked my eCase today and it says that New York Office reviewed and Started Processing my file on Nov 30,2011.
So

Hey Man .. what if I am not from Visa Exempted Country but I am living in Canada and I have multiple Entry Visa.. Do I still have to Submit my Passport??

Probably you would still need to send passport.

Hi All,
I have been a silent reader of Canadavisa forum for past 1 year. But now I thought of writing my experience so that I might help few who are still waiting for their PR. I am currently working in ONTARIO with a work permit.
I applied to CIC on 1st Feb, 2010; 1st AOR on 16th Mar, 2010; 2nd AOR on 15th Nov 2010 from Buffalo and my file was transferred to NYC visa office on 8th Nov, 2011. My category is FSW3.

I got email from NYC on 21st Nov, 2011 for my passport (4 photos and RPRF). I did my medical in advance.
But as I plan go to India on this Dec for a month, I request NYC visa office for a in person pick up and they advice to be there between 8:30 am to 9:30 am for in person pick up of document and visa.

I finished that on 25th Nov, 2011; I am lucky have visas for both the countries

So bottom line is you can do medical in advance, and you can opt-in for in person pick up if you are in hurry and / or trouble.

This is amazing as I requested them to get it stamped in person and they said it can only be sent by mail

It's nearly 3 weeks since I sent my passport to NY for stamping, not heard back anything yet from them. My online status is changed to decision made on 1st Dec. I sent them passport via fedex on 22nd Nov.

friends, how long do you think i shud wait before contacting our friends in NY Consulate ?
