I need help, and quite frankly, I am getting pissed off.

I have tried to pay the fees for my wife's application online, but I am not getting anywhere. I keep getting a 502 proxy error today.

I am thinking of getting an international money order in Canadian funds. However, I am getting confused on what I should write on the front of said money order.

On the front of the money order or draft, write the financial institutions' name, complete address (not a post office box number) and account number is what I have read on the website. WHICH FINANCIAL ADDRESS???? One in Canada that can cash the check or the address of the address from where I get the money order?

I will be sending the application from Japan.

Thanks.

Maybe something much simpler would be to go to the bank and pay at the bank. That's what I did. There is a form that you print (I can't remember the name of it but I will check after). You take the form and the appropriate fees ($1040.00 for spouse sponsorship) and tell the teller that you are paying for immigration application fees. They fill out the receipt for you, keep one copy, and give you a copy which you submit with application. It is simple and does not cost you delays in processing. Good luck!

Thank you for the reply, but that can only be done in Canada, no?

I am applying from Japan. If applying from outside Canada, you must pay online or by a money (draft) order.

Thank you for your help.

I know that the money order must be payable to the Receiver General of Canada.
Must be in Canadian funds.

What I do not understand is the part:
clearly indicate name, street address and account number of the financial institution in Canada where it may be cashed.

Does this mean my own bank in Canada? And my own account? I do not understand this part.

Thank you.

Maybe the bank where you get the money order from can answer this question better?
