In the email from CPC, they have mentioned two addresses:

Canada Post:
CPC - Ottawa
PO Box 9780
Ottawa ON K1G 4B9

Courier:
CPC - Ottawa
365 Laurier Avenue West
Ottawa ON K1A 1L1

If i use Canada Post, I have to send the PP to the 1st address. In case i use DHL, UPS, Purolator etc. I have to use the 2nd one.

Can somebody please let me know if this is the case. What is the safest option...?

Yes, because couriers do not deliver to PO boxes. If you use your local postal service, only they use PO boxes. I would personally use a courier. And a one day shipping just to be safe. Both ways

So, just wanted to follow up on my previous post. My status changed to in process last week, and I got my passport request today. I received the following message from CIC last week as well:

Please note that if you have already paid you Right of Permanent Fees (RPRF), please send a copy of your receipt ... This is in reference to your application for a permanent resident visa, which has been found eligible in the Class for which it was submitted. Admissibility review (security, criminality and/or medical) is still ongoing; you will be contacted if additional information is required for that purpose ... We wish to remind you at this time that your Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) is outstanding. You must pay this fee before a permanent resident visa can be issued ... If you delay the payment of the RPRF, your security or medical results may expire, which would delay the issuance of your visas. We therefore encourage you to pay the RPRF as soon as possible ...

My general timeline is as follows:

PR Application - February 2014
Medicals - March 2014
RPRF and In Process - January 2015
Passport Request - February 2015

Therefore, it seems like early 2014 applicants are being processed. Good luck everyone :) :)

Awesome .... Congratulations :) . lets hope the next few months, all of our files are reviewed in the same order.

Could you please update the document in my signature please. It will really help people have a general idea of when they can expect things to move for them.

Thanks

Hi Guys,

I received the much coveted "Ready for Visa" email from Ottawa today. Will be sending out the passports tomorrow.

Will keep you posted once i receive the stamped visas.

Best of luck for all members of this forum who are in process...
Congrats. I received the same email on February 3rd at 7pm eastern time. Did they ask you to include passport size photographs or any other thing? Also, are you using DHL for return or the canadapost shipping label? Thanks

Congrats to you too. Ottawa just asked me to submit passports of me and my spouse along with a copy of "Ready for Visa" email. As I am a within canada applicant, I sent my passports thru' Canada Post Priority post. As directed, I have also enclosed a letter sized self-addressed ExpressPost envelop (National).

I was wondering how long does it take to get back our passports with the visa stamped. Is there a standard timeline for this part of the process?

Thank you Montrealhoysala,
The process seems to take 2 weeks from the time they receive it. Best of luck!

And they didn't notice that? Didn't you send them the receipt when you paid it?

OK thank you very much. I am in the USA so I will send mine through DHL and include the shipping label. I was wondering about long this visa will be valid for. My medicals were done in February of 2014

Hi Friends,

Thanks for sharing all your experiences. I want to share my timelines and appreciate if someone can guess when can I expect PPR....

Federal Application filed...Dec 6th 2013
AOR and medical request - Jan 24th 2014
medicals completed - Feb 28th 2014
rprf fee paid + police clearance certificates sent on march 20th 2014
Status changed to Inprocess - Aug 14th 2014

Got an email on January 23rd 2015 stating my file has been transferred to Ottawa for further review and asked to send personal changes from August 2014.

I have replied with my personal details on Jan 23rd 2015. Informed them about my family composition change, we had baby on Jan 1st 2015.
Officer replied to apply for QSW and federal application side by side so that medical forms will be released.
Applied QSW on Jan 31st 2015 and for federal on February 4th 2015.

Here are my questions:
1) I know I might have got PPR by now if family composition might have not changed. Can anyone guess how long it may take to get PPR request now?
2) Since our family medicals expires on feb 28th, do we need to go for medicals again?
3) do we need to apply for police clearance certificates again?

Appreciate your help. Wish everyone speedy process.
Thanks & Regards, Sai
