Hi all! ECAS shows Decision Made!! Background check went into progress on October 4th and less than a month later Decision Made! Now the wait for COPR. Does anyone know how long it might take to receive after decision is made for PA living in England? Are they usually mailed?

It took us about a month to get our PPR after DM. The PPR was emailed to my husband's email. He is the one applying for PR. It was the first time ever they contacted him directly. Which threw us off, so we didn't see the email for a couple of days. There was no update in MyCIC account because his email had the PDF attached.

Not sure how long it takes from the PPR to the CoPR though. Another waiting game.

Just got my Passport Request. DM on 1st November and on 7th got PPR. So happy.....

Submitted passport on 18 oct
But did not received my passport yet ,it has been 21 normal days and 12th working day .

Any one facing the same situation ?

From what I've been reading it's taking about a month to get CoPR after you send in your passport request.

I've seen some saying 1-2 weeks.

Below is the email my husband received today from Colombo office, with no address mentioned and no update in cic account asking for documents. Where should I send it? And what is original FBI clearance?

To assist us in the processing of your application, please provide the following information/ documents:
-Original Police Certificate from xxx and xxx for yourself
-the original FBI clearance – please refer to our website : http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/index.asp
If you are not able to send us the information/documents within 30 days of this letter please contact us to let us know how why you are not able to send us the information/documents by that date and how much time is needed to obtain the required information/documents.

If we do not receive the information/documents by that date and do not hear from you, a decision may be made based on the information on your file.

Please include our complete file number on your correspondence and address your correspondence to the High Commission at the address indicated below.

I would call the call Center if you can if. It email the office and let them know you have revieced the request but don't see it in your account.
FBI clearance is the US police check. If you're a US citizen. You'll want to use an approved fbi chandler. Basically you get your finger prints taken and mail them off to the channeler. Channels are anywhere from 50-150 bucks and some say they hear back same day. I heard back in two weeks. If your not a US citizen. You need to go thr Go the FBI. That can be a couple months long. So you will need to notify the office if that's the case.
You were looking want to submit it via your MyCIC account. Or a case specific inquiry. I did both.

Oh no! Try calling different channellers. Maybe someone takes and processes non citizens. I'm not sure though. I've only seen that they take citizens.

I tried calling one consultant in India. They said they expedite the process and get it in 2 weeks. But I don't know if there is any difference in the results we get from FBI directly and the one we get in 2 weeks. How do we know if it is from a channeler?

It will be on the list of approved channeler that the CIC accepts.
