you answer your own question.Orire said:Hi,
I landed 4 years ago on this date and I have never traveled out of Canada since then.
Now, I am planning to apply for Citizenship but on Citizenship Application form CIT 002 Section J(Income Tax Information), I am required to check 4 taxation years prior to my application.
I filled tax return for 2013, 2014 and 2015 while I am yet to receive T4 form for 2016 taxation year.
Is there any implication if I send my application before I am able to file tax return for 2016.
Your helps are very appreciated.
I guess you have to pay 630+630+100+100MIK77 said:Hello everyone!
I have my family's application pack (2 adults + 2 minors) almost ready and am planning to sign and send it on Friday, 3rd Feb.
A question here:
The fee calculations look a bit confusing - Step-3: PAY THE FEE on this page http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/CIT0001ETOC.asp#pay-fee suggests the Citizenship Certificate fee as $75 per person. Whereas, this page http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/fees.asp suggests a different fee structure with the Right of Citizenship being $100 + another $530 and $100 as Grant of Citizenship fee for each adult and minor, respectively.
Can anyone please guide me on what exactly would be the total fee payable that I need to pay & attach proof of payment along with the application pack and if I should pay it all together or individually for each member of the family?
(Again, we are 2 adults and 2 kids).
Thanks,
MIK

If you are filing it online, I guess there is no need to wait for more than a day. You will have the confirmation number once you submit it online.WantToBeInCanada said:I am on the same boat, i came 4 years ago in January and i haven't traveled out of the country ever since, so I'm just waiting to file my taxes and wait a day or two after that. that part is still not very clear to me of how long do i supposed to wait after filing my taxes
Thanks for the input, i called the place where i file my taxes and i was told they do it online so it gets sent right away, I'll just make sure they give me a confirmation number.Sa3Sa3 said:If you are filing it online, I guess there is no need to wait for more than a day. If you are submitting it through the mail, I suggest that you wait until they receive your file.
Your first link is for a citizenship certificate for someone who is already a Canadian Citizen - you will not be applying for that.MIK77 said:Hello everyone!

But for 2016 I did not yet . So I have said yes for required filed. Taxed filed yet I said no.
or I don't have to mention for 2016 at all ?
You need minimum 4 years with tax returns. You will have to wait for the T 4, file the tax for 2016 and then you can apply.Orire said:Hi,

Thanks for getting back. That means the total fee would be 630+630+100+100 = $1460 as mentioned by Sa3Sa3. Right?Rigly68 said:Your first link is for a citizenship certificate for someone who is already a Canadian Citizen - you will not be applying for that.
Your second link is the correct one. Your fee will be 2 x $530 (Processing fee) plus 2 x $100 (Right of Citizenship) This is for the adults.
