^I know that man, that's why I said inside the parenthesis "or going to an office.." which I meant to be a CIC office.

What I really mean is that, for those already inside Canada, why not automatically grant them PR status and not hassle them with going to the border OR doing an in-land landing. After all, they are already physically landed. But again, that's just wishful thinking for me.

As an FYI: I am landing on a CIC office next week. They sent an email last Monday for the schedule.

^If you are still within the 13 month processing time, then there is really no "hold-up". This is something I learned over the course of my application (it took mine 15 months btw).
Nothing you can do but wait.

If you are in Canada, you may not go to Border to complete your landing, I have come to know that when we get our passport back after printing visa, they provide two copies of landing paper that one has to fill in front of the officer.
My friend who recently got his passport, they wrote in his letter that if you reside in Canada you dont need to go to border just go to the given office (by appointment) and complete your landing papers by paying some fees.
So you mean we can activate the visa and complete the PR process within Canada if already been living in Canada?

Your COPR will have instructions on how to land: (1) Make an appointment with a CIC Office; (2) Go to a border, exit Canada, then re-enter Canada.

Hi All,

I was introduced to this forum thing just today by a friend so I can keep track of my application for permanent resident sent to CIC in Feb. 2014. I currently live in Regina, Saskatchewan.

My application for permanent residence (under Saskatchewan PNP) was received by CIC on Feb 27, 2014, I received a request for medicals on March 28, 2014 and on April 07, 2014 we (me and my wife) submitted our medical test. On April 9, 2014 we received another email requesting us to pay RPRF, which we paid the same day. Since April when the status of application was updated as showing "medical received" there has been no update on our file.

I was wondering if there is any body in this forum in a similar situation as mine.

Please reply.

Thanks,
Delgado77

He appears to be a PNP applicant, which usually takes 1-2 months to get the MR after CIC receives the application.

Not sure 100 % but text marked in red can also be a reason as per I know LOE must contain canada employer address , so LOE issued by Canada HR/Employer or India ?
