No, again it is totally different like in Quebec experience class you have to apply for CSQ (certificate) once you got that then you will apply for federal PR and since your eligibility and assessment has already been done thats why CIC request for Medical and mean while also runs background checks. Whereas on CEC it is only one stage procedure you apply and wait for your file to be process by an officer once the process started applicant start getting response from CIC...

I did my medicals last week. How much time does it take to get the medicsl status updated on ecas.

Hi, I would say in about 2-3 weeks, but every case is different. Some applicants got it changed within one week while the others waited more than a month.
