FBI Request Question

Hey guys,
I called the FBI today to get an update and the lady said the same thing they said last time, is that it would take a week or two longer (which is what I think they tell everyone regardless). But then she said something along the lines of "O, we accepted payment from you.... you should call back Thursday or Friday for an update."

It was good to know they accepted payment, I had no way of tracking that. But what I'm really worried about, because I've heard horror stories from people on here, is that they will reject my prints. So I was wondering, if they accepted payment, does that mean that your fingerprints are okay? I can't see that they would take the payment if they couldn't do the task.

I REALLY hope my certificate comes by the 12th because I am leaving to visit the hubs then and wanted to have the application submitted before I left, this is the last bit, so the pressure's on.

I have read that they process the payment sometimes, even if the prints end up not being viable. Give it a couple of days, because in my recent experience, once they processed my payment, they were ready to process the prints also and it was only a couple of days before it was done. I'd predict that by the end of the week they'll be able to at least tell you whether it's been completed or not.

The FBI takes payment for processing your prints even if they can't read them. Hopefully that will not be the case with your prints.

Most of the "horror" stories are from people like myself who waited months to get a good set of prints. During that time I had lots of time to vent my frustration of waiting and feeling uncertain about the outcome of this whole process.

In my case I waited over 3 months only to find they couldn't read my prints. Then after sending more prints I waited over 4 more months because the prints were lost. Finally after 8 months of waiting I finally got the "No arrest record found" report....
