FBI clearance tracking

Guys any idea how much time it takes for the delivery of the FBI Record letter from FBI once they put it in Postal Mail.

Can anyone on this forum who applied for FBI Clearance guide about time lines for shipment of the letter from FBI? How many days it take normally to reach the letter to you once it is posted by FBI by regular First Calss Mail ?

I sent my application on July 22 and it was received by FBI on July 26. Still waiting for CC charge.

Hi All,

Today I went to my near by police station in USA for my fingerprint, I took printout of FBI form for fingerprint.
But they told me, I need to have this form on hard card board then only they will do my fingerprint on it. Can anybody please help me fot this.

I got my fingerprinting done from an agency, not by police. The agency used the card they had which i had submitted to FBI. I think you can use the card given by police as both (police & FBI) are govt agency and they know what will work and what not.

Dear all

I applied for FBI record and my letter was recieved on desk in US on July 1st, 2010 (07/01/2010) as reported by my courrier TCS from Pakistan. In a letter dated August 27th, 2010 (08/27/2010), it was reported to be recieved as on July 2nd, 2010 (07/02/200) by the FBI office and was reported to be returned on August 24th, 2010 (08/24/2010) with a result " NO ARREST RECORD - FBI ". The Envelope was Postmaked as of August 30th, 2010 (08/30/2010) that was recieved at Islamabad, Pakistan September 5th, 2010 (09/05/2010) and it was deliverd to me in my city on September 7th, 2010 (09/07/2010).

Well friends;
1. I took my own fingerprints by myself using a standard Black Stamp Pad.
2. I made 3 set of fingerprints which I sent.
3. I sent the application with a $ 18 Draft.
4. I sent my application with a request of expiditious handelling by July 1th, 2010 ( 07/10/2010).
5. I also made a photocopy of the wholeset and kept it with me.

So Conclusively my FBI record was prepared in 53 Days ( 7 Weeks 4 Days ) and I recieved t back in 9 Weeks altogether.

Just called up fbi cust care line.. they said that ,my prints were accepted and they will be dispatching the results in 3-4 days..

application received at fbi office - 15 july.
CC charged- 30 aug

my husband received his fbi result and it stated that fingerprint was not readable. we are surprised because the police officer did it. when i read about your case, so its okay using the black stamp ink. we will do the same. thank you for the info.

got the FBI record certificate for me and my wife today.. its is dated 03 Sep and i got it in mail today 10 sep..

My application rchd fbi -15 July
CC charged - 30 Aug
FBI letter obtained - 10 Sep (the letter is dated 3 Sep)

i had put self addressed stamped envelopes along with the application for them to send me the record request back but they returned them along with the mail but used their own envelopes instead..

FYI.. i had got my fingerprints done at a local government office

I would advise against this.

I had my first set of prints done by the local police station here in Ontario. When I first looked at them, I was not impressed but figured they knew how to do them and sent them to the FBI. However after three months waiting the FBI report said they could not read them.
I went back and had the same person from the local police station do the prints again for comparison. Which she said like the first time, "How well they came out!" However when I looked at them closely I could see they were not that good.
I then went to Toronto and had them professionally done by an agency, where fingerprinting is all they do. They were quite familiar with the stringent requirement for fingerprints sent to the FBI. I also showed them the prints from the local police station, to which they said were not that good.
I sent both sets of prints to the FBI and finally got my "No Arrest Record Found"

Since your prints were reject once, I would send multiple set to them, done by different people on different days. I believe the FBI web site says you can send up to five sets of prints.
