Father's last name is wrong

Hi,

I am planning to apply for visit visa/super visa for my parents.
Mistakenly my dad's last name mentioned in my passport is different than what has been mentioned in his passport/documents.

I am worried if I need to go for an affidavit, all other supporting documents (his passport + financial documents etc.) will have to be changed as well.

Any suggestions or is there any other way?
