hi all im new here just want to ask couple questions

i got married to a tunisian man in may 2014 we applied for his PR in april 2015 we got an email confirming that they got the application in mississauga may 19th 2015 i know the application is not being processed yet but theres no processing time for tunisia after they approve your application and how long it will takes till they call my husband for the interview

2nd question is im pregnant in my 5th month and wants my husband to be with me when my due time comes its special time and would love for him to be with me in canada for the baby birth is there anything i can do to speed up the processing time of his application like sending a letter from my doctor saying that im 5 months pregnant and a letter from me saying that i want my husband here with me

ps: i heard when your PR application being processed and you apply for a visitor visa you have a 80% chance to get denied is that true ?

Hi Canadian Chick

First I suggest you start a new post when you have a question, so it is easier to answer correctly. About your questions:

1. Normal waiting time is 2 months for sponsorship aproval + specific time for your visa ofice. I think Tunisia is been treated in paris but I'm not sure. It doesn't state it in CIC website...
2. No, unfortunatly, being pregnant doesn't help. And there is little chance that your husband can be with you in Canada for the birth, I'm sorry. Normal case is about 10-12 months...But if you'r lucky your case will be superfast!

It is true the refusal rate for TRVs when there is a spousal sponsorship in the works is high, but some people do get them. Your husband should prepare proof he will leave Canada before his TRV expires: a return ticket with a specific date; proof of a job and a couple of weeks off; proof of a lease, mortgage or home ownership; proof of funds; etc.

Applications from Tunisia are processed through the Paris office. You can get a better idea of timelines by following this thread:
