Extention of visa for landing

Hello All
My application for PR has been approved and the visa office has asked me to submit my passports. However since I completed my medicals on 10/25/2009 I will have to land prior to 10/24/2010. So, can I ask the visa office to provide me an extention to my visa since I will be busy at work and would not be able to land during this short duration. I would appreciate a response. Thanks.

When the visa has a validity of 10 months, I don't think the CHC shall entertain your request.

You can land before 10/24/2010 and come back to rap things up and relocate.... Congrats and good luck!
